The Elections for the 25th Knesset were held on 1 November 2022. The inauguration of the 25th Knesset took place on 15 November 2022. On 3 May 2023 it was decided that the elections for the 26th Knesset would be held on 27 October 2026.
Only six of the last 24 Knessets completed a full term. The last instance of a full term was the 11th Knesset, and elections were held in 1988. In recent years, my policy has been to not share polls from the term and wait until after the election. There are many reasons for this policy. With the scheduled election now 627 days away, I am reassessing my policy. Recently, I have had many requests asking me to return to publishing both polls and analyses.
Before I make a final decision, I want to hear from you, my subscribers and readers, what you think.

Polling is a little light weighing yourself.
if you do it often enough and add ir subtract clothing and shoes eventually you will achieve the ” right” number.
Polling is pretty pointless.
Especially in Israel and especiallyduring a war.
The argument against it is pretty clear. War aside, polls during the middle of a term are less useful for predicating election results. Old parties tend to split and merge, new parties emerge.
The argument for is to take a look at the trend and see what is emerging.
That is why I wanted to see what you all think before making a final decision.
I appreciate the opportunity to weigh in on polls.
I find the polls to be fascinating, regardless of whether an election is soon. I imagine that the tracker is more for practical purposes than curiousity, though, so I understand that you might focus only on election season.
Thanks. Yes, basically the argument for is to take a look at the trend and see what is emerging.
Those of us who follow you do so because we like this content and the analysis you provide. We will all say yes (unless we miss the one email/post asking). However, I think there is a greater demand for this content in English now than ever before. To the extent there is polling now, people want this imperfect metric of where Israelis stand and where the state may be going. Respect your decision either way and look forward to your next post, whenever it comes.
Thanks. If I do go ahead now, it is a question – a post for each poll or one post for all the polls. I remain undecided on that.
I would love to see your results and analysis early and often
Thank you.

My wife and I use the same E-Mail address – so here is another, independent opinion from the same E-Mail address: Polls that occur immediately after a major event do not reflect the true public opinion What would be useful is a regularly posted poll – say 1st of each month – independent of the “talking heads” in the media We can’t control the timing of events – but with time – 5 to 6 months – a meaningful trend might be seen that reflects the overall public opinion So, I am in favor of your reporting – but monthly perhaps – more frequent would just reflect the noise in the system. Just my opinion – BTW – spent many years doing process control analysis in the manufacturing world – there two it is the overall process TREND that is important – more so than any individual process run. This is an interesting idea. Post a monthly average as opposed to a weekly average. It is easier to see a trend when looking month to month.
yes please
Thanks.
I voted for Bennett 4 or 5 times. Please tell him to come back. You should come back too and as a 3rd item bring back poll summaries and commentary…
Thanks for this. I’ve been out of politics this term, yet still in the Knesset. The break has been doing me good.
Jeremy,
I’d love it if you were to start posting polls now. I would certainly use them in my classes at the University of Maryland.
Thanks.
Always happy to do a guest lecture via zoom.
I wondered what happened to this blog. Sounds great that you can continue!
It is true we haven’t been active as of late but this year we are celebrating 15 years at KnessetJeremy.
I would like for you to start your polling analysis ASAP, I have always looked forward to your thoughts on Israeli politics

Please, do return to publishing both polls and analyses. That would be great and most helpful. Michael
Thanks.
always very interesting to have polls over time to see changes
Thanks.
What is the rationale of your policy? I’m happy to read anything you write, why deny this from your faithful followers? There are others but those are definitely the main two.
So how about you write anything from your Knesset insider vantage point? Like a weekly or even monthly the craziest thing I saw this week, or something I saw in mainstream media and the real perspective on it
Hi, Jeremy, good to hear from you again, and I hope you are well.
I am a yes on your return to publishing both polls and analyses.
Thank you.
I am a YES too.
yes polls and and analyses.
thank you
Yes, start soon. As you know with Israeli politics, an election can come at anytime, but likely before the full term is finished. Additionally, please give your analysis with the polls.
