49% No, 28% Yes, 23% Don’t know
Do you favor establishing an special investigative committee to investigate the submarine affair?
55% Yes, 26% No, 19% Don’t know
Why don’t you publish the new Miskar poll?
Gantz ahead on best PM? Wow.
This is the first poll that made me think Bibi could actually lose.
That’s an astonishing interpretation, every poll now confirms the right – religious has a majority, don’t get fixated on the variations between BW and likud, they are just as likely untrue as true.
Get fixated on the following parties of the right Kulanu, Zehut, YB. If 2 of them get past the threshold Likud is in
Judah – I’m not looking at the variation between BW and Likud.
“Who do you think is more suited for Prime Minister?
42% Gantz, 41% Netanyahu, 17% Don’t know”
If Gantz gets a reasonable lead there I expect parties like YB and Kulanu will consider switching sides.
Any Israeli politician, absolutely including Gantz, can “switch sides”. Perhaps the only one that won’t is Feiglin, although he is constantly blamed by the press in “lack of integrity”. Feiglin is the guy that doesn’t let sleep to both, Netanyahu and Gantz. It does make me to respect Israeli voters that Zehut confidently passes electoral threshold despite all the “worries” and propaganda directed against it.
Ryan, I am astonished that you accept Gantz ahead of Bibi as PM , it 100% a rogue as subsequent polls will show
I don’t “accept it” but it’s hardly rogue either. Channel 12’s poll has 36% Netanyahu, 34% Gantz, 30% Don’t know. So they’re neck-and-neck it seems.
Considering that Blue and White is usually up in the polls by a few mandates over the Likud, it makes sense that Gantz would have a similar edge over Bibi.
Lead aside though, Gantz has a very big mandate problem. If we use this poll as an example, Gantz has 45 mandates (excluding the Arab lists), so even if Kulanu and Zehut flip, they’d only have 55 mandates for the coalition. Does Gantz have the political will to push forward in big issues like land for peace while relying on the outside support of the Arab parties? I have a hard time believing it.
Gantz already makes concessions and is willing and seeking for future partnerships with the religious parties. A possible coalition can be e.g. BW, Labour, Kulanu, Shas, Meretz, Zehut. It’s enough that some mandates shift in the favor of these, or that UTJ would also join.
Why would Shas or UTJ sit with parties who would desecrate the Sabbath when they can hold out for a Likud partnership? I dont see it, unless the Yesh Atid faction of Blue and White and Meretz are out on a short leash.
Depends on how it all roles out – but if BW will be able to form a coalition w/o them, then I’m pretty sure the religious parties will join them. They tend to join in on the coalition as they rather have an active say in what the government does.
The one way I see that happening is a Blue and White – Likud unity govt, with the religious parties in tow. Not impossible.
Zehut will never “flip”! Whoever else might, but not Feiglin. If Gantz will want him, he will need to pay in terms of Zehut manifest and in terms of abiding by Zehut red lines. Nothing else will get Feiglin to him.
David are your sure you are not Feiglin in disguise , Feiglin I am fine with, Rabbi Haim Amsalem on the other had I have very poor views on and before you come up with wonderful comments about him, Rav Ovadia threw him out, no more need be said.
