Dialog (Panel Midgam Project) conducted a poll of 863 people with a 3% margin of error that was boradcast by Channel 10 on Feb 8 2015.
Current Knesset seats in [brackets]
23 [20] Zionist Union (Labor-Livni)
23 [18] Likud
14 [11] Bayit Yehudi
13 [11] United Arab List
10 [20] Yesh Atid
10 [02] Koolanu (Kahlon+Kadima)
06 [07] Yahadut Hatorah/UTJ
06 [10] Shas
05 [13] Yisrael Beitenu
05 [06] Meretz
05 [02] Yachad (Yishai+Chetboun+Marzel)
69 [63] Right-Religious-Kahlon (Parties that have not ruled out a BB coalition)
51 [57] Center-Left-Arab (Parties that have ruled out a BB coalition)
Note: Prof. Fuchs told Channel 10 that it seems that Likud has slight edge over Zionist Union and that Bayit Yehudi’s decline has stopped.
The center seems to be holding and Arab turnout may be on the increase. Will V15 have a similar impact in Greater Tel Aviv and Haifa? Subtract Kulanu’s projected 10 mandates from the Bibiphile column and March 18th becomes an interesting day indeed.
Let me see – last week the Dialog poll had UTJ at 8 seats and now they are down to 6 , Likud are also down 2. Yachad/Koolanu/Arab List/Yesh Atid are all up.
So let me see, in one week our Haredi brothers have become so enamoured by Marzel , that they have decided to ignore the Beltz Rebbi and Rav Steinman and switch one mandate over to Yachad. They have then gone even madder and decided to switch another mandate over to perhaps Yesh.
Likud voters have also had enough of Bibi and decided they can be even madder than UTJ, so they switch one mandate over to Koolanu whose list suddenly became very exciting and another to the Arab List.
Right , Ok we can all believe what we want and I was invited to the mad hatters party last night as well.
Why should any Charedi Religious Jew support Shas which corrupt and says that they will form a government with the Arabs and the Anti Religious leftists. Why should any of them support Yahadut Hatorah which says they also might join up with the left and Arab Parties?
Daniel, not sure where you get your news from but I am not aware of Shas or UTJ saying they would join they left/Arab coalition . In fact they have said specifically otherwise.
What is interesting is that Likud have not ruled out joining with Herzog/Livni . You should be more worried about that.
As for Shas corruption, how boring, you must be short of anything interesting and factual to say. Lets talk about Ehud Olmert, Likud etc , etc ,etc
.
As for Prof. Fuchs comment BY had stopped declining, an absolutely worthless comment as Dialogue had them at 14 last week .
I guess the bottom for BY in any “serious” poll is 14.
I would think so, I think the polls that marked BY down excessively were nonsense. Sure the Ohanna episode caused some disruption, but they over reacted. Anyway I think its important that Likud and BY both poll strongly to provide a core base for the next government.
Anything that brings in Livni is too horrible to contemplate.
yeh. I see now problem with a common strategi, where Likud plays moderate, take 5+ seats from centrists and at the same time allowing BY to grab 5+ seats from Likud/other forces. With Likud+BY at 45 and hareidi parties at about 17 there is a great (stable) govt (with BY having about 19 seats out of 62 = a third!!!!)
