Well, at least the hareidi parties are starting to loose seats, especially Shas; this time 2 to Bennett (?). And also good Bennett taking a seat from Likud Beiteinu.
Thinking about the questions about Bayit Yehudi and how Bennett is doing, it looks like the Bayit Yehudi voters more like the alliance with secular Yesh Atid than they would about an alliance with hareidi parties. Good reason to merge with at least Yisrael Beiteinu at some point but also right-wing Likud. Would not suggest a merger with parts of Yesh Atid!!!!!
But about hareidi elements: IF Yishai would say that he is willing to “support change”, than I think it possibly would be a good idea to merge Yishai into Bayit Yehudi, BUT NOT IN THE SHORT RUN PROBABLY.
Overall Bennett seems to be doing a spectacular job! Congrats, Naftali!
With Lieberman free, there will then probably not be any new party mergers of any sort. Maybe at some point the anti-PA-state Likud MKs and Yisrael Beiteinu MKs want an alliance with Bennett….
There will hopefully be some new polls next week when Lieberman has become FM/something else or nothing.
reas on arutz sheva about the report that Peres next year would set up a new party. Then probably Movement, parts of Yesh Atid, Labor and (maybe) Meretz would join. What happens then with the right-wing parties?

I don’t think Peres will make a party, lol
Peres is 90. It would be shocking (and frankly a scandal) if he gets another term as president. His career (and life for that matter) is all but finished. A right-wing government is not going to support another term for him. The minute Labor joins Meretz, a significant portion of their voters flee. This goes double for Yesh Atid. Meretz is Labor’s main competitor in a lot of places like Tel Aviv. There is a reason why they have not been part of a government since 2001; they are politically toxic even to left-wing governments. Most of their increase in strength in the above poll comes from disaffected Kadima, Movement, and Yesh Atid voters. It’s a protest more than a sincere conviction.
I wonder what will follow with this 20,000 tender -business. Bayit Yehudi up? Likud Beiteinu down? Or the other way around? Also interesting: not a word from Lapid about this or former tenders during the peace talks.

When will there be a new poll? I mean with Herzog leading Labor and much talk about his hope to establish one party for all centrists, leftists. THERE simply must be some polling done soon.
