Knesset Jeremy Analysis:
Likud Beitenu maintains their spot at the top of the polls. Labor is not enjoying the bump it is used to during primary elections. Bayit Yehudi is steady. Meretz moves into the 4th spot. Yesh Atid decline continues and they drop to a tie for 5th. Shas remains steady with no bump or decline in the first poll following the passing of their spiritual leader. Kadima passes the current 2% threshold. Recent increase in terrorist attacks could be responsible for modest gain of the “right-religious block’ from 61 to 63.

Wonder from where Bayit Yehudi’s extra mandates come from? Shas? Yesh Atid?
I’d say some from Shas but more are from Yesh Atid.
Check out my analysis in the link below:

If the numbers stay like this the election day, it looks like Lapid’s drop will limit Bibi’s coalition options. The current coalition would only have 62. Likud’s only coalition could be with Jewish Home, Shas, and UTJ. I can’t see any other combination unless Likud and Labor are in a coalition which seems unlikely given the fact the last time it happened Labor had a civil war and split in two. Also, is the new threshold law going to be in place for the next election at 3%?
The new threshold will be decided in the Electoral Reform Bill that is currently in Knesset Committee.
You still have the spelling error “mertez” instead of “meretz”
I fixed that. Thanks!
Will there be a new poll coming now that the local elections are over? And will you have some statistic over the results from the elections?
Yes a new poll came out. I just posted it.
What stat from election results interests you?
Well, would be interesting to see how Labor vs Meretz; Bayit Yehudi vs Shas developed on a local level and how Yesh Atid and Likud Beiteinu fared compared to there national standing.
Jeremy, I’d just like to extend my gratitude for the work you’re doing for those of us in the wider Western world who like to check in on Israeli politics once in a while.
