Note: This is a list of vote totals. The Likud system of assigning places is complicated and this will not be the order.

I am not a Likud member but if I was I would vote for these people.

Ofir Akunis, Gabi Avital, Benny Begin, Danny Danon, Yuli Edelstein, Zeev Elkin, Gilad Erdan, David Hermlin, Yariv Levin, Reuven Rivlin, Gideon Sa’ar and Daniel Tauber

Note: I would probably vote for less than 12 people but I know it is required to vote for at least 12.

In the Israeli election cycle public campaign funding is important. The new Likud Beitenu faction will have about double the campaign funding compared to the next three challengers on the list (Shas, Labor and Yesh Atid) together. Likud Beitenu will also enjoy the same ratio of commercial advertisements on national television (Channel 1,2 and 10). The numbers below were reported in Yediot Ahronot on October 28, 2012.

Likud Beitenu 54.6 million shekel
Shas 14.3 million shekel
Labor 10.4 million shekel
Yesh Atid 4 million shekel

Likud 91 min
Shas 29 min
Labor 23 min
Yesh Atid 7 min

Recess coming to a close

Knesset will return from a 81-day recess this Monday (Oct 15) and all eyes will be on Prime Minister Netanyahu. The question everyone will be asking this week is will we have a budget or will we have an election. If the budget is passed the election will most likely take place on time, Oct 22 2013.

Quick Update

As my loyal readers know, the Knesset started its Spring Break on Thursday and will not be working for 39 days.

Right now, my updates are three days behind. I finished Day 60 and will put it up when my proof-reader sends it back to me. I will work on Day 61 and Day 62 this week and will get them up when they are done. After I catch up, I will focus on the polls that come out during the recess.
